Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 22, 2026
Remergify ("we," "us," "our") operates CrewVerify, a workforce check-in service for construction and field businesses. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, and what choices you have.
By using CrewVerify, you agree to this Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
1. Who this Policy covers
CrewVerify has two kinds of users:
- Account holders — the businesses and their administrators who sign up, manage sites, and view records.
- Workers — the individuals who check in to job sites using a phone link.
This Policy applies to both. Where a business uses CrewVerify to track its own workers, that business is responsible for informing its workers about the use of CrewVerify and for having any consent its workers' jurisdiction requires.
2. What we collect
From account holders: name, email, company name, role, and billing information (payment card data is processed by our payment processor, Stripe — we do not store full card numbers).
From workers checking in: phone number and/or email used to verify identity; GPS location coordinates at the moment of check-in and check-out; the time of each check-in/out; and the job site associated with each check-in.
Optional add-on data (only if the account holder enables it):
- Substitution protection: a check-in photo and a match score against an enrollment photo.
- Certification verification: credential details (e.g. license/cert numbers, issuing body, expiration) and uploaded credential documents.
Automatically: standard technical data such as device/browser type, IP address, and basic usage logs, used to operate and secure the service.
3. What we do NOT do
- We do not track worker location continuously. GPS is captured only at the moment a worker taps check-in or check-out — not in between, not in the background.
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not show third-party advertising inside CrewVerify, and we do not let advertisers target you within the service.
4. Why we collect it
We use the data to: verify that the right worker is checking in at the right site; produce attendance and timesheet records for the account holder; generate alerts (e.g. location mismatch, missed check-in); provide payroll and compliance exports; operate billing; and secure and improve the service.
5. Location data specifically
Because location is sensitive, we want to be explicit: a worker's GPS coordinates are read only at check-in and check-out, are tied to that single event, and are used to confirm presence within the job-site boundary set by the account holder. Workers can decline to share location, but a check-in cannot be location-verified without it, and the account holder may require verified check-ins as a condition of the job.
6. How we share data
We share data only with:
- The account holder whose workers are checking in (they see their own workers' records).
- Service providers who help us run the service — our hosting/database provider, our SMS provider (to send verification codes), our email provider, and our payment processor (Stripe). These providers are bound to protect the data and use it only to provide their service.
- Legal requirements — if required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights and safety.
We do not otherwise share or sell personal data.
7. Data retention
We keep check-in records for as long as the account holder maintains their account, plus a reasonable period afterward, because these records may be needed for payroll, tax, and compliance purposes. Account holders can request export or deletion of their data (subject to legal retention requirements) by contacting support@checkinsites.com.
8. Security
We protect data with encryption in transit, access controls that limit each business to its own data, and a tamper-evident (append-only) check-in log. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the data.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Workers should direct such requests to their employer (the account holder) in the first instance, since the employer controls the worker records; account holders can contact us at support@checkinsites.com. We honor applicable rights under laws such as the CCPA/CPRA and similar state laws.
10. Children
CrewVerify is for workforce use and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
11. Changes
We may update this Policy. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date, and where appropriate we'll notify account holders.
