SMS Messaging Policy
Effective date: June 25, 2026
Remergify operates CrewVerify, a workforce check-in service for construction and field businesses. This policy explains how CrewVerify uses SMS text messaging, how consent is obtained, and how recipients can opt out.
Who receives messages
CrewVerify sends text messages to two groups:
- Workers enrolled by their employer (a CrewVerify account holder), to send job-site check-in links, one-time verification codes, and check-in reminders.
- Account administrators, for account and security notifications.
How consent is obtained
Workers are enrolled in CrewVerify by their employer. When an employer adds a worker, the employer confirms that they have obtained that worker's consent to receive job-related SMS messages from CrewVerify as part of their employment, and that the worker's phone number was provided for this purpose. CrewVerify relies on the employer's representation that proper consent has been obtained.
Workers may also receive an initial message confirming their enrollment, which includes instructions for opting out.
Types of messages we send
- One-time verification (OTP) codes used to confirm identity at check-in.
- Job-site check-in links and assignment notifications.
- Check-in / check-out reminders (e.g. a prompt if a worker appears to still be checked in).
- Account and security notifications to administrators.
These are transactional, service-related messages tied to the worker's job. CrewVerify does not send marketing or promotional text messages.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies based on a worker's job activity (for example, how many sites they check in to). Message and data rates may apply.
How to opt out
Recipients can opt out of CrewVerify text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. After replying STOP, the recipient will receive one confirmation message and no further texts, unless they re-subscribe.
Because verification codes are required to check in, a worker who opts out of SMS may be unable to use SMS-based check-in and should speak with their employer about alternatives.
